Refunds and cancellations
These terms apply to professional assessments, session reviews, workshops, and remediation advisory offered by Desktop Sequoia Path Ltd.
Eligibility overview
Fees cover professional time and prepared deliverables. Refunds depend on how much discovery work has started, whether a deposit was paid, and the notice given for cancellation or rescheduling.
Deposits
Assessments and workshops may require a deposit stated in the proposal (typically 30% of the engagement fee) to reserve dates and begin access setup. Deposits are credited against the final invoice.
Cancellation by the client
- More than 14 days before the agreed start date: full refund of fees paid, including deposit.
- 7–14 days before start: 50% of the engagement fee is refundable; the remainder covers preparation already underway.
- Fewer than 7 days before start, or after work has begun: fees for completed stages are non-refundable. Unused later stages may be refunded on a pro-rata basis at our discretion when little preparation for those stages exists.
Work already started
Once analytics review or session sampling has begun, the discovery stages completed are non-refundable. Partial refunds may apply only to stages explicitly not yet commenced, as listed in the proposal schedule.
Rescheduling
One reschedule with at least 7 days’ notice is usually accommodated without fee. Later or repeated reschedules may incur a reasonable administrative charge stated in writing before the new date is confirmed.
No-shows
If key client stakeholders miss a scheduled walkthrough or workshop without timely notice, that session is treated as delivered. A replacement session may be booked at an additional facilitation fee.
Advisory retainers
Monthly remediation advisory is billed in advance. Unused call time in a month does not roll forward unless agreed in writing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month when notice is given at least 14 days before renewal.
Non-refundable items
Third-party venue hire arranged at your request, pre-approved travel booked for on-site workshops outside Edinburgh, and completed written deliverables already issued are non-refundable.
Refund process and timing
Email contact@desktop-sequoiapath.click with your proposal reference and reason. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 working days of written approval.
Exceptions
If Desktop Sequoia Path Ltd cancels an engagement for reasons within our control, you may choose a full refund of amounts paid for undelivered work or a rebooked date at no additional fee.
